.GOPHER HOME GAME TAILGATING

New Tailgate Area Station 19

We as the Parents Club have entered a new era of outdoor football tailgating for Gopher home games. Publishing the tailgate regulations in our new location is necessary to insure all Club Members and their guests have an awareness and understanding of these regulations.  All University of Minnesota tailgating regulations apply to Station 19’s facilities.

 Station 19 Provides:

1.       Annual licensed convenient location

2.       Paved parking/tailgate area

3.       Clearly marked designated parking spaces

4.       Informational signs

5.       Clean indoor toilets

6.       Currently possession or consumption of alcohol is not permitted.  The owners of Station 19 are working on changing this restriction imposed by the city of Minneapolis.  Any violation of the no alcohol policy may result in Station 19’s property owners being ticketed and fined up to $2,000 coupled with a loss of their annual parking license.  Any alcohol violations by Parent Club Members or their guests will be responsible for reimbursing Station 19 owners for all fines and expenses incurred as a result of the violation.

In order to monitor the people attending the tailgating area, Parent Club members, their guests, and Station 19 guests will be required to visibly display a Station 19 badge while tailgating at this location. This weekend a temporary badge will be used for the Cal game.  Permanent badges will be issued Oct 3, 2009 for the Wisconsin game to all members.  In addition we will provide each family four extra badges for your guests.  Anyone not displaying the proper badge will be asked to display their badge or will be asked to leave the premises.  We have insured Station 19 property owners we will comply both with the letter and the spirit of their parking /tailgating regulations.
