Greetings from the University of Minnesota Football Parent’s Club,

Some of you may be very familiar with our group, while others may only know a little about us. The University of Minnesota Football Parent’s Club was created in 1985 to provide support to the players, parents and families of the Minnesota Football Team.  Our mission is to:

·         Promote camaraderie both within our Club and with other fans.

·         Welcome new parents and help them connect with the Gophers Football family.

·         Provide members with information, tailgating opportunities and general assistance at both home games and away games.

·         To demonstrate our loyalty and support for our sons, their teammates, the U of MN, Football Staff, and those involved in the Golden Gophers Football Program.

·         To contribute to a positive atmosphere for a Championship Football season.

Now that we have one year under our belt with the opening of the TCF Bank Stadium, we have made the decision to join forces with the Goal Line Club for pre-game tailgating festivities for the 2010 Minnesota Football Season.  In 2009, membership in The Parent’s Club was $50.00 per family which included, nametags, home games tailgate food, summer picnic and game ball drawings.  In addition, if you wanted to join the Goal Line Club (the main fundraising arm of Gopher Football) it would have cost an additional $50.00 per family. However, this year for $65.00 you will have membership in both the Parent’s Club and the Goal Line Club.  Benefits of joining the Goal Line Club include:

·         Invitation to GLC member only events

·         Member only rates for Gopher Football events.

·         10% discount with Creative Charters on Gopher trips

·         Goal Line Club lapel pin

·         “I am one of the 1000” GLC member button

·         10% discount on regular price items at Gold Country Dinkytown and Stadium Village locations. 20% off $50 purchase coupon also mailed with membership card.

·         10% discount at U of M bookstore – 20% discount coupon for single purchase also mailed with membership card.

·         Joe Senser’s - $5 off any $25 check

·         Moe’s in Mounds View – 15% off total bill

·         Campus Pizza and Pasta – 2 for 1 beers and ½ price appetizers/excluding 2 lb. wings

·         Majors Sports Café - $5 off any $20 tab

·         Stub & Herb’s – 2 for 1 on beer of the month and free appetizer with purchase of two entrees.

·         Leaning Tower of Pizza – Free appetizer with large pizza order, and more added all of the time!!

All members will receive 4 photo buttons with their paid membership. We will continue to do the game ball drawing at tailgate events. On April 24^th immediately following the spring game, which starts at 1:30 PM at TCF Bank Stadium, we will be having a pot luck dinner so more families can attend. This will replace the summer picnic. We are now accepting 2010 Memberships and we invite you to join our group by filling out and returning the 2010 registration form enclosed, which will help us support Golden Gopher Football. Forms will also be available at the spring game.  Once we receive your membership form and fee you will be mailed a Goal Line Club Membership Card and your discount coupons
